McHENRY – A McHenry thrift store operated by volunteers with Centegra Health System began a storewide sale Thursday to celebrate its recent reopening after thunderstorms damaged the building.
The Centegra Auxiliary Pink Door Thrift Shop reopened in mid-May after water damage from storms in early April forced the shop to close for repairs, according to a Centegra news release.
With new dressing rooms, carpeting, ceiling and fresh paint, the shop on Thursday marked down its men’s, women’s and children’s clothing prices by 50 percent.
The storewide sale continues through Saturday.
The store, 3741 W. Elm St., McHenry, operates 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. Funds raised through the Pink Door Thrift Shop benefit patients and services at Centegra, the release states.
