Catch 'em if you can

GURNEE – The Gurnee Fraternal Order of Police Social Lodge 266 hosted its annual Outrun the Cops! & Walk for the Kids event Saturday at the Gurnee Police Department. Proceeds benefit the Lake County Children's Advocacy Center and other local organizations.

The race started and finished in the rear parking lot of the police department, at 100 N. O'Plaine Road in Gurnee. Majority of the race was held along the Des Plaines River Trail.

Winners were recognized by gender and age category. There was a 5K race and a 10K race. Police officers were dressed in full gear. Other participants wore themed costumes.
