ROMEOVILLE – Rachel Mytnik, from Romeoville, has been selected to participate as a state finalist in the 2016 Miss Illinois USA Pageant.
The pageant will take place Sept. 4 to 7, 2015 in Skokie. She will compete as Miss Romeoville, and will compete in swimsuit, evening gown, and personal interview competitions.
The winner will go on to represent Illinois in the 2016 Miss USA Pageant. Miss USA goes on to compete in the Miss Universe Pageant.
Mytnik began the culinary arts program at Joliet Junior College when she was only 16 years old, and graduated May 15, 2015 with an associate's degree in applied science degree at just 19 years old.
She has a lifelong dream of becoming a professional ballet dancer, and has been pursuing this dream since she was 3 years old. A ballet instructor, Mytnik has also taken voice lessons, and frequents a local stable for horseback riding lessons.
