PLAINFIELD – The Show Team of the Plainfield Park District’s Normantown Equestrian Center won several honors during a recent show at Maple Park.
The team, formed in 2014 by Normantown manager Amanda Bergman, competed at Dassenbrook Stables as a kick-off to the 2015 show season and four Normantown competitors won awards:
Elizabeth Horvat rode Lilly and placed second and third and in Advanced Crosspole Equitation, second in Equitation on the Flat and Reserve Champion in Advanced Crosspole Equitation Division
Hannah Kucera rode Lilly and placed two second places in 2'-2'3" Equitation Over Fences, second in 2'-2'3" Equitation on the Flat, Reserve Champion in 2-2'3" Equitation Division
and first in Mini Medal
Bailey Butler rode Eddy and placed first and second in 2’3”-2’6” Equitation Over Fences, and second and third in 2’3”-2’6” Hunter Over Fences.
Ella Frey rode Cinders and placed second and fourth in Beginner Crosspole Hunter, first and second in Beginner Crosspole Equitation, first in Beginner Crosspole Hunter on the Flat, fourth in Beginner Crosspole Equitation on the Flat and Reserve Champion in Crosspole Equitation.
On May 9, the Normantown Equestrian Center will host its own show, open to the public. the show is at 9 a.m. The Equestrian Center is located at 12151 S. Normantown Rd., Plainfield.
