GLEN ELLYN – The Admirals Hockey Club hosted an exhibition game Saturday to raise money for hockey players with disabilities, going up against sled hockey team the Chicago Hornets.
The Hornets caters to youth ages 5 to 20 with physical disabilities who are interested in hockey. The fundraiser took place at Center Ice of DuPage.
The club's goal was to raise $1,150 – enough to pay for supplies for two Hornets players – which it far exceeded, collecting $3,500.
