DIXON – Patrick James “Pat” Allen, 50, of Dixon, died Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2015, at his home. He was a lead man welder at E.D. Etnyre and Co. in Oregon for 20 years.

Pat was born Jan. 27, 1965, in Phoenix, the son of William “Rick” and Ellen (Cross) Allen. He married Wendy Steder-Pinegar on Sept. 15, 2012, in Dixon. Pat was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Dixon.

He is survived by his wife, Wendy Allen, and one son, Shayne Allen, both of Dixon; two daughters, Elizabeth Allen of Macomb and Erin Allen of Dixon; his mother, Ellen Allen of Dixon; two stepdaughters, Jennie (Dustin) Highland of Monticello, and Jordan Ries of Dixon; one brother, Andrew (Lauren) Allen of Leesburg, Indiana; two granddaughters, Madison and Avery Highland, both of Monticello; two nieces, Julia Allen of Leesburg, Indiana, and Emily Allen of Indianapolis; and one nephew, Bryan Allen of Indianapolis.

He was preceded in death by his father; one brother, Michael William Allen; maternal grandparents, Wilbur and Mary Cross; paternal grandparents, Kenneth and Dorothy Allen; and one niece, Natalie Allen.

Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m., with the family present from 3 to 5 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m., Friday at Preston-Schilling Funeral Home in Dixon. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Janet Wittenmyer, pastor of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Dixon, officiating. Burial will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Dixon.
