To the Editor:
What am I missing? The Glen Ellyn Park District director, Dave Harris, is quoted in the Glen Ellyn Suburban Life as saying, “The intention of the park district is not to resurrect a pool.”
The Board President Gary Mayo was quoted, in the same article, as saying, “The community has clearly spoken ... The issue is now dead.”
So why is the park district spending $3,500 on a survey to “better understand why its indoor pool referendum was defeated”?
Why throw money away on a survey to understand a dead issue? Why are the park district representatives saying one thing and doing another? The vote was no! That is all they need to understand! $3,500 saved!
