JOLIET — Police are investigating the death of man in Joliet as a homicide.

Dante Campbell was pronounced dead at 3:10 a.m. Thursday on the 700 block of Chase Avenue, according to the Will County Coroner’s Office. Joliet police are investigating the incident as a homicide.

An autopsy was scheduled for Thursday. Final cause and manner of the death will be determined at a later date pending police autopsy, the coroner’s office said.

A call made to the Joliet police was not immediately returned Thanksgiving Day.
