VILLA PARK – The EISUS Fun Fest on Sunday in Villa Park will donate all proceeds to the American Brain Tumor Association.
The Susan Jurkonis Memorial Scholarship Foundation was founded in 1999. Susan was a member of the Purdue University volleyball team when she was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor at the age of 19. She died less than three years later, according to a foundation news release.
The foundation’s goals are to award outstanding student-athletes at Willowbrook High School with scholarships, provide funding support for brain tumor research, and remember Jurkonis, the release said.
The event will be from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. at Lions Field in Villa Park. In the event of rain, the fest will be held inside the Villa Park Recreation Department building at Lions Field, 320 E. Wildwood Ave.
The fest will include raffle tickets, pizza, beverages, games and live music. Adults can use their tickets to participate in games similar to the Minute to Win It format, and children can use their tickets to play games as well as have their faces painted. Those who plan to watch Unhinged perform are encouraged to bring their own chairs.
Entry to the event is free.
