OAK BROOK – The renovation of the Doubletree by Hilton in Oak Brook is now complete.
The multi-million dollar project was completed by Cicero's Development Corporation and includes a renovation of the grand ballroom and more than 25,000-square feet of meeting space in the hotel.
The former "Wine Den" bar and restaurant was gutted and new ceilings, energy-saving lighting, wall finishes and trim were installed.
Additionally, 469 incandescent down lights were replaced with 407 energy-efficient LED fixtures, and environmentally-friendly lighting controls were installed to create a dimming system. More than 100 fluorescent ceiling fixtures were also replaced with 15 large hybrid LED chandeliers.
The hotel renovations began in June and finished in about five weeks.
Doubletree by Hilton is located at 1909 Spring Road.
