LOCKPORT – Lockport Township High School District 205 proudly announces the new teaching staff for the 2014-2015 school year.
Doug Chesna has joined the special education department. Since 2011, Chesna has
served as a special populations paraprofessional and task force member at LTHS. Chesna
earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Iowa and a Master of Arts in teaching from
Chicago State University.
Regan Cronholm joins the college and career applications department. She recently earned a Bachelor of Science in career and technical education from Eastern Illinois University.
Christopher Davis also joins the college and career applications department. Since 2000,
Davis has taught at Lincoln-Way and Minooka high schools. He earned a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Arts in educational administration from Governors State University.
Cory Dillard is now a member of the physical education department. Formerly, Dillard taught at Peotone High School after earning a Bachelor of Science in education from Northern Illinois University.
Jason Frieri also joins the physical education department. Since 2011, Frieri has taught at
CICS Avalon and Miles Davis Magnet Academy in Chicago. He earned a Bachelor of Science in education at Illinois State University.
Dan Kelly is a new member of the special education department. Since 2006, Kelly has taught at Romeoville High School. He has a Bachelor of Arts in history from Lewis University; a Master of Arts in special education from Lewis University; and a Master of Education candidate, school counselor at Lamar University.
Brittany Kohnke joins the physical education department after teaching PE since 2009 at
Homer Junior High School. Kohnke earned both a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in physical education from Chicago State University.
The English department welcomes Mary Koleno, who has taught English at Thornton High
School since 2010. Koleno has a Bachelor of Arts in English and a Bachelor of Science in
secondary language from Loyola University and a Master of Arts in reading from Olivet
University.
Gina Mollo joins the world languages department after teaching Spanish at Oak Lawn Middle School since 2012. Mollo earned a bachelor's degree in Spanish secondary education from Elmhurst College.
Lauren Sanders joins the science department after serving as a long-term substitute at
Wheaton North High School. Sanders earned a Bachelor of Science in kinesiology from the
University of Illinois and a Master of Arts in teaching from National Louis University.
The English department also welcomes Derek Sanderson, who taught at Crete-Monee High School since 2011. Sanderson earned a Bachelor of Arts in English and secondary education from Augustana College.
Dan Starkey has joined the East Campus Deans Office after teaching kinetic wellness at New Trier Township High School since 2010. Starkey has a Bachelor of Science in education from Illinois State University and a master’s degree in educational administration from Aurora University.
The special education department welcomes Michael Schuetz, who has served LTHS as a
paraprofessional and substitute teacher since 2012. Schuetz has a Bachelor of Science in
computer management from Eastern Illinois University; a Master of Science in business
administration from Keller School of Management; and an endorsement in special education from Trinity College.
Chelsey Wajchert joins the mathematics department after serving LTHS as a long-term
substitute and tutor. Wajchert has a Bachelor of Science in mathematics from Northern Illinois University.
