Grand Prairie Elementary School supports the Walk of Hope

FRANKFORT – The Grand Prairie walk team had the encouragement of the entire school when they participated in the Mokena Cancer Support Center Walk of Hope on May 18.

Prior to the walk, students donated books for an all-school charity book sale to encourage reading and support the walk team at the same time. The book sale raised $552.50. All proceeds were donated to the Mokena Cancer Support Center, which provides free resources that help people improve their quality of life during the cancer experience.

The Grand Prairie walk team included Jamie Beveridge, Rachel Hawes, Cari Clousing, Ricky Innocenti, Brenda Strutzenberg, Kristi Spengler, Lauren Spengler, Emily Spengler, Yvonne Winkler, Jim Major, Jacquie Major, Deanne Zito, Jared Zito and Lindsay Reipsa.
