Police: Genoa man broke another man’s jaw

GENOA – A 22-year-old Genoa man is facing criminal charges after allegedly breaking the jaw of a man who refused to leave his home.

Garrod R. Fannon, of the 200 block of South Emmett Street in Genoa, was drinking at his home with friends about 1 a.m. May 6 when he asked a Genoa man to leave, according to court records. The man refused, pointing to Fannon’s ex-girlfriend and making a threatening, derogatory comment, court records show.

Fannon punched the man twice. The man fell to the ground, and Fannon punched him twice more, breaking his jaw and knocking out teeth, court records show. Fannon was charged with aggravated battery, and posted $1,000 bail Thursday, authorities said.
