JOHNSBURG – The former Paradise Cove Hotel in Johnsburg, which has been vacant for years, will reopen Wednesday as the Waterfront Hotel & Marina.
The 23-room hotel has been remodeled, but additional work is planned, said owner Mario Arcari, who bought the building and 16-acre property at 3309 N. Chapel Hill Road last year.
“The basement used to serve as a storage garage,” he said in a news release. “We’re opening it up for a bar and grill, as well as a meeting and conference room. We’ll have outdoor seating and live entertainment.”
Arcari initially had little interest in the building. He had bought it for the property. Arcari later decided to remodel the hotel as a business venture, according to the news release.
