Former West Chicago youth ministry leader charged with sex abuse

WEST CHICAGO – A former youth ministry leader from Community Fellowship Church in West Chicago is accused of having inappropriate sexual contact with two underage girls, according to the DuPage County State's Attorney's Office.

Osman Bahadarakhann, 23, of the 1200 block of Kings Circle in West Chicago, has been charged with three counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse, a Class 2 felony, according to a news release from the State's Attorney's Office.

Bahadarakhann appeared in bond court Wednesday afternoon, where Judge Paul Fullerton set his bond at $300,000, the release stated.

It is alleged that in the fall of 2013, Bahadarakhann invited one of the girls to his apartment, where inappropriate contact allegedly took place, according to the release.

Several weeks later, Bahadarakhann allegedly invited another girl to his apartment, where the inappropriate contact with the second girl allegedly took place, the release stated.

The alleged abuse came to light when the girls and their parents contacted the DuPage County Sheriff’s Office, according to the release. An investigation conducted by the DuPage County Sheriff’s Office and the DuPage County Children’s Center resulted in the charges against Bahadarakhann, the release stated.

Bahadarakhann is scheduled to appear in court May 5 in front of Judge Daniel Guerin.
