Oak Brook Tennis Center named Chicago USTA Facility of the Year

OAK BROOK – The Oak Brook Park District Tennis Center, located at 1300 Forest Gate Road in Oak Brook, was presented with the Chicago Tennis Patrons’ 2013 Outstanding Facility of the Year Award during the 25th annual "Evening of Champions" on Feb. 22.

The award, which is sponsored by Midtown Athletic Clubs, is presented each year to an "outstanding" tennis facility that has supported and promoted the overall growth of tennis in the greater Chicago area, according to a news release from the Oak Brook Park District.

Since 2010, the Oak Brook Tennis Center has revamped its program offerings, increased tournament play at the facility, and worked to make the game more accessible to players of all ages and abilities, according to the release.

Oak Brook Park District Tennis Center is a nationally recognized facility that features eight newly resurfaced, air conditioned indoor hard courts with updated lighting, and eight recently resurfaced outdoor hard courts, five racquetball/wallyball courts and newly renovated fitness room, locker rooms and lounge areas, read the release.
