Squirt AA team represents Jaguars in Wolves Cup at Inwood Ice Arena

The Joliet Jaguars Hockey Club will host the Wolves Cup through the Northern Illinois Hockey League this weekend and next weekend at Inwood Ice Arena in Joliet.

Championship games will be played throughout the day Saturday and Sunday each weekend.

The Jaguars’ Squirt AA team (2003-2004 birth years) will represent the local organization when it meets the Wolf Pack of Hoffman Estates for the Squirt Gold B championship at 11 a.m. Sunday.

The Squirt team won the Steel City Tournament in Pittsburgh and are 14-2 overall. They also were invited to play in the Bauer World Invite Chicago with teams from the United States, Canada and Russia.

The Squirt roster includes Joey Vish, Ryan Louthan, Jack Campbell, Mike Suppan, Nate Diaz, Dylan Graziano, Max Steriotti, Owen Rossi, Kenny Zschack, Nate Lewis, Connor Picard, Tyler Zelinski, Liam Jenkins and Riley Siwinski. Joe Vertucci is the coach, assisted by Joe Vish, Brian Picard and Jay Louthan.

The Jaguars Midget team (high school level) will play in the third-place game Sunday in Crystal Lake. Players are Jake Borth, Luke Borth, Alex Brooke, Scott Coash Jr., Harry D’Arcy, Steben Egan, Cory Heinz, Andrew Highbaugh, Josh Katsimpalis, Matthew Kraus, Aaron Ladzinski, Dominick Perona, Noah Roth, Jake Smith, Dan Spano, Jake Tonelli, Jeremy Velsquez, Nick Wayne, Nico White and Taylor Willard.

The Jaguars Mite 1 Silver team (2006-2006 birth years) will meet Skokie at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Canlan Ice Sports in Romeoville. With a win, the Mites may earn a berth in next weekend’s playoffs in Winnetka.

The Mite roster includes Kevin Grzybowski, Hannah Pico, Evan McDonald, Cameron Krause, Gavin Borger, Caden Weitzel, Noah Miller, Joseph Izzo. Declan Moran, Madilyn Myers and Joshua Cygan.
