ST. CHARLES – A Genoa man faces a felony charge on the allegation he impersonated a police officer, records show.

Skyler Charles Petrancosta, 21, of the 500 block of Jackson Street, was charged Thursday with impersonating a police officer, a Class 4 felony, according to St. Charles Police Department records.

Kane County court records indicate he represented himself as a narcotics officers to four people.

Petrancosta was reportedly released on $1,500 bond, which was 10 percent of his bail. He is expected in court Oct. 10 for a status hearing.
