ST. CHARLES – A St. Charles woman whose driver's license was revoked for impaired driving was charged Friday with DUI, according to St. Charles Police Department reports.
Police stopped Maurissa J. Daly-Hoare, 31, of the 200 block of South 15th Street, at about 12:26 a.m. after observing her green Volkswagen Passat repeatedly cross the center line along North Second Street in St. Charles, police reported.
Daly-Hoare reportedly had glassy, blood-shot eyes, slurred speech and smelled strongly of alcohol.
She gave police another woman's driver's license and said she had two martinis at an establishment in downtown St. Charles, police reported.
Her car was towed from the scene, and she was brought to the police station for booking, during which police learned the ID wasn't hers, police reported.
Records indicated Daly-Hoare's driver's license had been suspended or revoked numerous times and was currently revoked for DUI, police reported.
Daly-Hoare was charged with driving with a revoked license, driving under the influence of alcohol, driving without insurance, obstructing identification and improper lane use. An assistant state's attorney also authorized felony charges of aggravated DUI and driving with a suspended or revoked license more than three times, police reported.
Police reported she was also wanted on a Lake County warrant on a DUI charge and two Wisconsin warrants, one on a charge of escape and one on a probation violation.
Online records Tuesday indicated she was being held in the Kane County Adult Justice Center.
