Mr. Wilson Tyler Schroeder, 14, of Yorkville, Ill., passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 2, 2013, at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, Ill. He was born July 27, 1998, in Beloit, Wis., the son of Brian and Elizabeth (Grove) Schroeder.
Wilson was a member of the Community Christian Church in Yorkville. He had attended Saratoga Elementary School in Morris, and had just completed his freshman year at Yorkville High School.
Music was a very important part of his life, and he enjoyed playing his guitar in his church’s Youth Band. Wilson also enjoyed sports, especially snowboarding, and was a member of the Yorkville High School freshman football team.
He was a loving son, brother, grandson, great-grandson, nephew, cousin and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Wilson will continue to live on through the donation of his organs to the Gift of Hope Foundation.
He is survived by his mother, Elizabeth (Bob Jen) Schroeder, of Yorkville; his father, Brian (Stacey Brost) Schroeder of Kenosha, Wis.; his brother, Joshua Schroeder, of Yorkville; his maternal grandparents, Wayne and Linda Grove of Morris; his paternal grandmother, Norma Schroeder of Streamwood, Ill.; his paternal great-grandmother, Dorothy Pergande of Chicago; his aunts and uncles, Jennifer (Russell) Heinsius, David (Carla) Schroeder, and John Roemer; his cousins, John Nathan and Nicholas Roemer, and Jeffrey and Hailey Schroeder; as well as many dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Alfred Schroeder Jr.; as well as several great-grandparents.
Funeral Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 6, at the Community Christian Church, 129 Commercial Drive, Yorkville, with Pastor Aaron Koehler officiating. Interment will be private.
Friends may visit from 3 until 7 p.m. on Friday, July 5, at the Larson-Nelson Funeral Home, 410 E. Countryside Pkwy., Yorkville.
