CLARENDON HILLS — The Birches in Clarendon Hills hosted a dance party for its last event of "Masterpiece Living" launch week on Jan. 18.
The dance party was for all residents, their families and staff. There were 40 to 50 residents and 10 staff members present.
The Birches supplied entertainer Edizon R. Dayao, a keyboard artist and singer with Senior Events Entertainments. The party started at 6:30 p.m. and soon after, the residents were dancing and smiling with the help from a special group of volunteer firefighters: Steven Letizia, Lisa Greyhill, John Horton and Bryan Briones from the Clarendon Hills Fire Department.
The party also welcomed a naval reserve sailor, Scott Schaefer.
In a news release, the Birches thanked the four volunteer firemen from the Clarendon Hills Fire Department, Chief Brian Leahy for helping organize their participation and Schaefer for his involvement.
