HINSDALE — The Hinsdale Hospital Foundation has announced the 2013 winners of its Centennial Medallions, awarded once every two years to a leader from the community and from the medical staff.
Foundation Board member Richard “Dick” Burridge and endocrinologist Dr. Edward Paloyan will receive the 2013 Centennial Medallions, which recognize outstanding leadership, achievement and support provided by individuals to Adventist Hinsdale Hospital.
Burridge has provided more than 30 years of service to Adventist Hinsdale. He most recently served as chairman of the $11-million capital campaign for the hospital’s new Patient Pavilion.
Burridge and his wife, Nan, raised three sons — Richard Jr., Peter and Scott — in Hinsdale. Burridge has served as a village trustee and as a member of the Wellness House Board. He also is chairman emeritus at RBM Capital Management and founded The Burridge Group, LLC.
Paloyan, an Oak Brook resident, has been affiliated with Adventist Hinsdale for more than 25 years.
A 1956 graduate of the University of Chicago Medical School, Paloyan has been associated with the University of Chicago Hospitals and Clinics, the Pritzker School of Medicine, Loyola University’s Stritch School of Medicine and the Hines VA Hospital.
The Hinsdale Hospital Foundation will present the Centennial Medallions to Burridge and Paloyan during the Medallion Ball Feb. 23 at The Drake in Chicago. Proceeds from the ball will help support the Adventist Outpatient and Cancer Institute.
