Marine Air Control Group 48 (MACG48) brings Christmas to children through its Toys for Tots Program which covers families from Fort Sheridan to Kensoha, Wis.
Distribution of toys takes place at Foss Park District in North Chicago, Ill. and Family First Center in Waukegan, Ill. The last pick-up of donated toys from collection boxes at various sites will be made on Dec. 14.
"The only way we are successful is if the community participates," said Gunnery Sgt. Derrick Stephenson. "We have distributed over 30,000 toys to over 10,000 children with a goal of supporting over 25,000 children," he said.
