CHADWICK – Terry Schreiner, 65, of Chadwick, died Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2012, at his home. He was employed at Elkay Manufacturing for many years before opening Uncle Hoser’s Bar and Grill in Chadwick.
Terry was born April 3, 1947, in Sterling, the son of Richard and Beulah (Layton) Schreiner. He graduated from Milledgeville High School in 1966, and joined the Air Force. He was united in marriage to Elaine Harmon in 1971, at Dutchtown Church of the Brethren in Milledgeville.
He was a member of Chadwick Lions Club, Chadwick Masonic Lodge and Milledgeville American Legion. Terry was an active member of Dutchtown Church of the Brethren and served on the board. He played in the Elkhorn County band and enjoyed fishing, golfing and being with his family.
Surviving are his wife, Elaine, and daughters, Becky (Chad) Judd and Jessica (Cranston) Sturrup, all of Chadwick; a sister, Carole Gibbs of Milledgeville; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Dutchtown Church of the Brethren in Milledgeville. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the church, with the Rev. Rick Koch, pastor, officiating. Burial, with full military honors by Milledgeville American Legion, will be at Dutchtown Cemetery in Milledgeville. Arrangements were entrusted to McDonald Funeral Home in Milledgeville.
