The Princeton Cardinals were down, but not out Thursday at Westside Park in Western Bureau Valley B League Softball.
The Cardinals trailed 10-3 going into the bottom of the fifth and rallied for eight runs to claim an 11-10 win over Kewanee. Bayly Reed hit a game-winning triple.
Hayleigh Hall walked and stole second to start the Cards’ rally. Brianna Segerstrom and Dani Berkler added RBI singles and Brianna Legner drove in a run on a fielder’s choice to make it 10-7. Elyssa King stroked a two-run double and scored on a wild pitch. Rachel Jensen walked and stole second and Brooke Hieronymus hit a RBI single to plate Jensen with the tying run.
Reed stepped to the plate with two outs and sent everyone home in red happy, lining a gapper to right-center to score Hieronymus from first base with the winning run.
Becky Hughes was the winning pitcher in relief, the Cards’ fourth hurler of the night. King and Hieronymus had two hits each.
• The B League Princeton Rockies won both games this week. They opened Monday with a 16-6 win over Wyanet with Carly Wittig throwing a complete game victory. Jessie Turpen had three hits, and Mckenzie Cain and Mackenzie Geldean added two each.
On Wednesday, the Rockies beat LaMoille 10-6 at Westside behind Turpen, the winning pitcher. Hailey Schultz, Courtney Cook and Becca Frank each had two hits.
• Tampico rallied to beat the Princeton Cubs 11-8 Thursday at Westside.

Princeton Cubs 7, Tampico 6: Natovia Talbot hit a game-winning, two-run triple for the Cubs Wednesday at Westside Park. Randi Sorenson was the winning pitcher.
Princeton Cardinals 8, Princeton Pirates 6: Shea Dzurisin had a two-run single, and winning pitcher Brynn Hieronymus (5 strikeouts) added a RBI single for the Cardinals Wednesday at Westside Park.

At Manlius: On a perfect spring evening on Wednesday June 6 in downtown Manlius, 28 bolders competed for the top five prizes. Ann Chapman, Wilma Anderson and Kenny Rodgers won first place, followed by Coleen VanKerreBroeck, Kristine DeBrock and Richard Taylor in second. Third went to Allison DeBrock, Harold Oloffson and Michael J Michlig; fourth went to Shannon Carmichael and Roger DeBrock, bolling with two; and fifth went to Dale Combs, Tyler DeBrock and Rod Nelson.
