This map of the Illinois Valley Railway (the interurban), submitted by Todd Borsch, was originally published in a 1907 edition of the Bureau County Republican. According to Todd, it can be found at the Princeton Library on microfilm. The map depicts the route between Ottawa and Princeton, even though the line went further east to Joliet. After leaving Peru, the interurban ran through Webster Park, Spring Valley, past the now abandoned community of Marquette, through DePue and Bureau Junction, then northwest past Hunter’s Ridge (the former Bureau Valley Country Club), on to Princeton, and straight up the middle of Main Street, ending at the Chicago, Burlington and Quincy Railroad tracks.
