Batavia resident Paul Raymond, 51, was at the Batavia Public Library when he answered 11 questions from the Kane County Chronicle's Brenda Schory.
Where did you grow up? I'm originally from northern Maine, a little town called Madawaska. But I grew up in Barrington.
Pets? A cat named Bartholomew. I call him Bart.
Who would play you in the movie of your life? George Clooney.
First job? I used a drop spreader to fertilize my neighbor's lawn. I was in fourth grade, and I didn't realize that you had to overlap lines.
As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up? I wanted to be an astronaut. I consult with computers and finance.
A movie you'd recommend? "My Dinner with Andre."
Favorite charity? Good Will.
Hobbies? Stonework building restoration, computer programming, the fun stuff.
What is your wish for the new year? I owned a business at one point, and I enjoyed being a boss. I hope to start a business and become a boss again.
Favorite local restaurant? RX Cafe in St. Charles.
What is an interesting factoid about yourself? I speak four languages, in addition to English I speak Chinese, Japanese and French, and seven computer languages. And I met Sir Edmund Hillary, among the first to climb to the summit of Mt. Everest.
