MANLIUS – The fuel and propane division of Michlig AgriCenter Inc. has been sold to Manlius couple Steven and Dawn Michlig.
The new company will be called Michlig Energy Ltd. Steve Michlig is the president of the company; his wife will become active in the office.
“All of the current fuel division employees will continue to serve their customers,” Michlig said. “We will have eight employees and continue to provide the same products and services.”
The company, which includes a fuel division in Cambridge in Henry County, will continue to serve customers in Bureau, Lee, Whiteside, Henry, LaSalle, Rock Island, Mercer, Marshall, Putnam, Stark and Knox counties.
Michlig AgriCenter also has sold its agronomy division to Crop Production Services, a subsidiary of Agrium Inc., the company said in a news release this week.
CPS will operate all of the Michlig Ag agronomy facilities in Franklin Grove, Walnut, Manlius and Cambridge.
An announcement on the sale of the grain business is expected later this month, the release said.
