DIXON – Eric Lemons, the man who admitted last month to killing an Ashton man more than 2 years ago, was sentenced this afternoon to 22 years in prison.
Lee County Judge Ron Jacobson handed down the sentence following a day-long, emotionally charged hearing.
Lemons, 30, pleaded guilty June 14 to the lesser charge of second-degree murder in the death of Todd Harn, 28, who was bludgeoned to death with a rock in his Ashton apartment April 5, 2009.
