GREEN, Ohio – Mark Henry Seloover, 56, of Green, Ohio, formerly of Sterling, died unexpectedly Thursday, May 5, 2011, in Cozumel, Mexico.
Mark was born June 16, 1954, in Sterling, the son of Keith and Mary (McMurrough) Seloover.
After graduating proudly from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, he worked as a chemical engineer for Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co.
Mark was a passionate sports fan; “da Bears” always held a special place in his heart.
He attended Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, Uniontown, Ohio. He was a member of Goodyear Golf League at Mayfair Country Club, Green, Ohio.
He volunteered with Boy Scouts and was an avid history buff.
Mark was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sheryl, in December 2010; his parents; and his brother, Kevin.
He is survived by his daughters, Laura Ann Seloover and Jennifer Marie Seloover; sister, Ellen (Joe Fichter) Seloover; nephews, Chad (Danielle) Elrod and Chad (Susie) Fichter; and niece, Lindsay Elrod.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church 1800 Steese Road, Uniontown, Ohio. Burial will be at Hillside Memorial Park, Akron, Ohio.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Anthony Funeral Home Green Chapel, 4178 Massillon Road, Green, Ohio.To honor his love of “da Bears,” wear something dark blue and orange to the calling hours and funeral.
