Melissa Savarino of Morris and Adam Micklos of La Salle, Ill., were united in marriage Friday, March 18, 2011, at Starved Rock in Utica, Ill.

The bride is the daughter of Danny and Suzette Nugent of Wilmington, Ill. The groom is the son of Richard and Wanda Micklos of Lostant, Ill.

Nicole Nugent, the sister of the bride, was the maid of honor. Cora and Aubrey Huss, friends of the bride and groom, were the flower girls.

Scott Huss, friend of the groom was the best man.

A private reception was held at Starved Rock Lodge following the ceremony. A public reception was held for friends and family Saturday, March 26, at Gardner American Legion in Gardner, Ill.

The couple took a wedding trip to Chicago.

Meslissa graduated from Wilmington High School is 2000. She graduated in 2003 from Joliet Junior College, having acquired a degree in nursing.

She is currently employed as a pre-hospital registered nurse/firefighter for Morris EMS and Braidwood Fire Department.

Adam graduated in 1996 from Putnam High School in Putnam, Ill. He then graduated in 1998 from Illinois Valley Community College in Peru, Ill., having acquired a degree in electrical engineering.

He is employed as an electrician for Pioneer Hybrid in Princeton, Ill.

The couple now reside in La Salle, Ill.
