Karen Renea Beckman and Mark Alan Hemmersbach are engaged to be married on Saturday, July 3, 2010 at St. Charles Borromeo Parish in Hampshire, Ill. A reception will follow at St. Mary’s Memorial Hall in Sycamore, Ill.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Daryl and Margaret (Mickey) Beckman of Sycamore. The prospective groom is the son of Joe and Kay Hemmersbach of Morris. Beckman is a 2001 graduate of Sycamore High School, 2005 graduate of Northern Illinois University with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education, and a 2010 graduate of Aurora University with a master’s degree in teaching. Beckman is currently teaching third grade in Burlington Central District 301.

Hemmersbach is a 2002 graduate of Morris Community High School and a 2006 graduate of Columbia College in Chicago with a bachelor’s degree in audio arts and acoustics. Hemmersbach is currently a professional audio technician. He travels all over the United States working with different companies.
