Jennifer Christ, 19, works at Subway in Dixon, making sandwiches. She also takes general education courses at Sauk Valley Community College, and is a member of the Lady Skyhawks basketball team. Jennifer is the daughter of Mike and Tina Christ of Dixon. She has one brother, Andrew, 17, at home.

Hero: My grandfather, the late Richard Albert. He fought his cancer up until the day it killed him.
First job: I started working at Subway when I was 16.
First car: A 2002 Chevrolet Malibu when I was 18.
Phobia: Water. I’m scared of drowning.
Guilty pleasure: Eating when I’m bored.
I’d like to meet: Michael Jordan.
In the dictionary next to: Spontaneous.
Trading spaces: I’d like to visit Europe.
Best thing about Dixon: It’s very homey.
