Szumski, Duc marry on Illinois riverboat

Catherine Elizabeth Szumski of Marseilles and Joshua Brian Duc of Anderson, Ind., were married at 6 p.m., Aug. 8, 2009  on the Pride of Oregon riverboat in Oregon, Ill. The Rev. Bob Sinese officiated the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Sue and Dan Szumski of Marseilles. The groom is the son of Cheryl and Frank Wiseman and Brian Duc, all of Anderson, Ind.

The ceremony was attended by immediate family with Billy Szumski, brother of the bride, acting as best man. The reception was a dinner cruise on the riverboat.

Catherine is a 2004 graduate of Seneca Township High School and a 2008 graduate of Purdue University. She is employed by Exelon as a nuclear reactor engineer at Dresden Nuclear Station.

Joshua is a 2003 graduate of Anderson High School in Anderson, Ind., and a 2008 graduate of Purdue University. He is employed by Exelon as a system engineer at Braidwood Nuclear Station.

They reside in Wilmington and will take a wedding trip to New Zealand in the summer of 2010.
