STERLING – Edward "Eddie" Celestino, 60, of Sterling died Sunday, Aug. 9, 2009, at his home. He was employed by Self Help Enterprises, Sterling.

Mr. Celestino was born Nov. 6, 1948, in Dixon, the son of Porfirio and Eulogia (Reyes) Celestino.

Survivors include two sisters, Fela Ranjel and Yolanda (Juan) DeLaFuente, both of Sterling; a half sister, Sally DelaCerda of Houston; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Sabas, Emilio, and Richard; three sisters, Ortencia, Carmen, and Maria Teresa; and a half sister, Martina.

Mass of Christian Burial is at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary Church, Sterling, with the Rev. Jesus Dominguez, celebrant, officiating. Burial is at Riverside Cemetery, Sterling. Visitation is from  9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the church. Arrangements were completed by McDonald-Allen-Grennan Funeral Home, Sterling.
