The Grundy County Circuit Court Grand Jury, Wednesday, returned a six-count indictment against a driver involved in a fatal accident.
Joe Olvera Jr., 32, Oak Lawn, was indicted on six counts of aggravated DUI for the June14 accident which took the life of Meagan Ahlstrom, 24, St. Charles.
Olvera was southbound on Illinois 47, near the Grundy County Fairground, when he crossed into the northbound lane and collided head-on with the vehicle driven by Ahlstrom.
Four counts charge that while under the influence, he was involved in a motor vehicle accident which caused great bodily injury and was the proximate cause of the death of Meagan Ahlstrom.
The fifth and sixth counts charge that while under the influence of liquor he drove an Isuzu Rodeo knowing he did not have liability insurance.
Deputy L. G. Dergo testified and he remains in the county jail in lieu of $50,000 bond.
James Wymore, 44, 317 Osceola, Minooka, was indicted on two counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse.
He was charged with acts involving two girls under 17 between August and November 2008 and August 2007 and June 2008.
Minooka Det. Kiedra Meece testified and bond was continued at $100 cash.
Michael Orr, 50, Tracy Drive, was indicted for aggravated reckless driving, failure to report an injury accident, failure to stop after an injury accident and refusal to give information after an injury accident.
All charges resulted from the May 5 accident in which Orr, while driving a GMC Yukon on Darin Road, struck and injured Anthony Darin, who was walking along the side of the road.
Det. Craig Meece testified and bond was continued at $2,500 cash.
Jeremy Klecka, 19, 50 Cambridge, Gardner, and Ronald Scheel, 21, 311 W. Main, Gardner, were indicted for mob action.
They were charged with acting together to hit and kick Mark Goodwin in the head and body, causing injuries. The incident occurred by Klecka's residence in Bookwalter Woods and Goodwin was taken to Morris Hospital.
Deputy Darren Roach testified and they remain in the county jail in lieu of $750 cash bond.
Dustin Brandt, 26, 2710 Cemetery Road, was indicted for felony theft of property belonging to Morris Transmission and Auto Repair, an International Tow Truck, on Jan. 6. He was also indicted for possession of the stolen tow truck.
Morris Det. Scott Henderson testified and bond was continued at $500 cash.
Ronald Barnard, 19, 975 North St., Coal City, was indicted on two counts of vehicle burglary. He was charged April 18 with entering a Chevrolet pickup owned by Dennis Hert at 135 E. Chestnut, Coal City, and May 10 for entering a Dodge van owned by Toby Bendele at 60 Walnut, Coal City.
Bond was continued at $500 cash and Coal City Sgt. Wiliam Klegman testified.
Gustavo Lemus, 29, 126 E. Benton, was indicted for failure to register as a sex offender. He was charged May 18 with failing to register with Morris police after establishing his residence.
Det. Henderson testified and bond was continued at $300.
Jeffrey Bailey, 44, 1330 N. Division St., was indicted for felony retail theft. He was charged Dec. 5, 2008, with taking food and other merchandise from Jewel-Osco worth more than $150.
Det. Alicia Steffes testified and bond was continued at $1,000 cash.
Robert Flournoy, 60, and Terrance Jefferson, 26, both of St, Louis, Mo., were indicted for possession of more than 100 grams of heroin with intent to deliver, a class X offense, and possession of more than100 grams of heroin. They were arrested June 12 by Illinois State Police.
Trooper Christopher Wilkes testified and bond was continued at $2,000 for Flournoy and $1,000 for Jefferson.
Kendrix Williams, 57, Ottawa, was indicted for possession of heroin. He was arrested May 30 by Illinois State Police. Trooper S. Cox testified and bond was continued at $100 cash.
Roberto Watters, 29, 540 E. Division St., Coal City, was indicted on one count of forgery. He was charged May 8 with using a forged prescription from the Silver Cross Hospital Emergency Department to obtain 30 Norco tablets.
Sgt. Klegman testified and bond was continued at $500.
Jay Nink, 53, N. 28th Road, Seneca, was indicted for felony driving with a revoked license. He was charged Feb. 23 on North Road. The charge was upgraded to a felony because of nine priors between 1979 and 2003 in Will, DuPage, La Salle and Grundy Counties.
Deputy Brett Black testified and bond was continued at $100.
Dennis Panfil, 51, Reddick, was indicted for felony driving with a revoked license. He was charged April 4 on Rice Road. The charge was upgraded because of priors May 1, 2002 in DuPage County and March 31 and May 31, 1995, in Cook County.
Deputy R. J. Knezevich testified and bond was continued at $100.
Eric Lingle, 32, was indicted for driving with a revoked license. He was charged April 8 on Division Street. The charge was upgraded because of a prior conviction July 18, 2001 in La Salle County.
