Thorntons announced the opening of its newest gas station and store in Bolingbrook last week.

The new store is located at 1025 S. Weber Road and is the first Thorntons gas station in Bolingbrook, according to a news release.

The company operates 84 stores in Illinois, 64 of which are located in the Chicago area.

Guests will be able to use a self-checkout and buy fresh burritos and sandwiches prepared throughout the day at the store’s kitchen or fresh coffee and fountain beverages. The site also features a rear diesel island with limited overnight truck parking.

To celebrate the opening of the new location, Thorntons gave the first 100 guests to the store a coloring book celebrating the company’s 50th anniversary with coupons.

Thorntons also donated $2,500 to the Northern Illinois Food Bank in honor of the new store opening. The company said it’s contributed more than 50,000 pounds of food this year.
