A jailed mother will need to post 10% of her $30,000 bond to get out of jail after she was charged with brandishing a 9 mm gun at a nurse at Advanced Pediatric Care in Bolingbrook.
Judge Derek Ewanic set the bond for Helena Moore, 30, of Bolingbrook after prosecutors charged her with felony aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and misdemeanor aggravated assault in connection with the incident.
At Wednesday’s bond hearing, prosecutors said Moore was at Advanced Pediatric Care, 215 Remington Blvd, on Tuesday with her child when she got into an altercation with nurse Kimberly Tobias, 26.
Moore had told a receptionist that Tobias started the altercation, prosecutors said.
At one point, Moore was holding her child in one hand and the gun in the other while threatening to shoot the nurse, prosecutors said.
Prosecutors recommended a $30,000 bond for Moore.
Tobias also was arrested in connection with the incident after she was accused of punching Moore in the face, according to the Bolingbrook police. Tobias was released on her own recognizance.

Prosecutors have not formally charged Tobias as of Wednesday. Will County State’s Attorney spokeswoman Carole Cheney said Tobias’ case is under review.
A criminal complaint said Moore carried a 9 mm handgun while engaged in the commission or attempted commission of aggravated assault and that she committed the latter offense against Tobias.
