A Joliet man was apparently struck by a vehicle and killed in the parking lot of the CVS near Six Corners early Thursday morning, police said.
The Will County Coroner’s office identified the dead man as 39-year-old Alec Langellier.
Langellier was hit by a car driven by a 77-year-old man who entered the parking lot from Plainfield Road about 4:30 a.m., according to a statement released Thursday morning by the Joliet Police Department.

“The pedestrian became trapped under the vehicle,” police said. “Despite attempted lifesaving measures, the pedestrian was pronounced deceased at the scene.”

Langellier was pronounced deceased shortly before 7 a.m., according to the coroner’s office.
