Annalise Pietrzyk scored 19 points and Providence Catholic’s girls basketball team remained undefeated in the Girls Catholic Athletic Conference with a 59-39 win over host De La Salle on Monday night.
Gabi Bednar and Ashley Raymer added 12 and 10 points, respectively, for Providence (9-0 GCAC), and Kelly Knight chipped in nine.
Peotone 38, Reed-Custer 24: At Peotone, Mady Kibelkis had 15 points and five rebounds, Mady Schroeder tallied 10 points, seven rebounds and five assists, and the Blue Devils won in Illinois Central Eight Conference action.
Mallory Ashline added five points and 10 rebounds for Peotone (9-1, 7-1), which led 22-11 at halftime.
Reed-Custer was led by Maddie McPherson with nine points and seven rebounds. Abrey Ricketts added four points, four rebounds and six steals. The Comets wrap up their season Wednesday when they host Peotone.
Gardner-South Wilmington 51, Clifton Central 14: At Gardner-South Wilmington, the Panthers opened the Sangamon Valley Conference tournament with a win, receiving 16 points from Abby Beck and 15 from Addi Fair.
Kylie Hawks added eight for Gardner-South Wilmington (12-1), which resumes the SVC tournament Thursday against Paxton-Buckley-Loda. The Panthers play again at 4 p.m. Wednesday against Beecher to decide the River Valley Conference championship.
Iroquois West 52, Dwight 29: At Dwight, the Trojans lost their opening game in the SVC tournament.
Nora Anderson paced Dwight with eight points, while Kassy Kodat, Nellie Rieke and Destine Drapeau each had six. Rieke also pulled down seven boards, while Drapeau and Skylar Horrie had five rebounds apiece. The Trojans will play Thursday night in the second round of the SVC tourney.
Oswego East 53, Minooka 33: At Minooka, the Wolves won the first-round game in the Southwest Prairie Conference tournament.
Yorkville 56, Romeoville 44: At Romeoville, the Foxes won the first-round game in the SPC tournament.
Oswego 49, Plainfield East 44: At Oswego, the Panthers won the first-round game in the SPC tournament.
Plainfield Central 46, Plainfield South 36: At Plainfield Central, the Wildcats won the first-round game in the SPC tournament.
Lincoln-Way Central 57, Andrew 40: At Andrew, Megan Hutchinson scored 11 points for the visiting Knights in the Southwest Suburban contest.
Sydney Gehrke added eight for Central (10-4, 5-2).
BOYS BASKETBALL
Lockport, 66, Lincoln-Way West 39: At Lincoln-Way West, Alex Vassilakis scored 13 points, as the Porters picked up the Southwest Suburban Conference win.
Lockport (10-4) also got six points from Brendan Spratt, and Ethan Gallagher (jr) threw down a dunk.
Minooka 63, Plainfield Central 53: At Minooka, the host Indians won in first-round action of the Southwest Prairie Conference tournament.
Romeoville 46, Joliet Central 43: At Joliet Central, the Spartans prevailed in the opening-round game of the SPC tournament.
Troy Cicero scored 17 points for the Steelmen, who finished the season with a record of 5-7.
West Aurora 50, Plainfield East 37: At Plainfield East, the Blackhawks won the first-round game in the SPC tournament.
Reed-Custer 68, Peotone 57: At Peotone, the Comets won behind Jake McPherson’s 19 points and Dylan Garrelts’ 18.
Peotone’s Mason Kibelski led all scorers with 28 points, including four 3-pointers.
GIRLS BOWLING
Oswego East 2,305, Joliet Central 2,108: At Crest Hill Lanes, Devon Thomas rolled a match-best 526 series, including a match-best 194 in Game 3, but it wasn’t enough for the Steelwomen.

SATURDAY’S RESULT
Southwest Suburban Conference tournament: At Strike N Spare in Lockport, Lincoln-Way West captured the SWSC championship with a 6,259 total. Lockport was the runner-up.
West’s Aidan Healy won the individual title, and Jacob Schram finished third.
