5 Things to Do in Will County: Learn about area coyotes and white-tailed deer

Also, enjoy a U2 tribute band, classical piano works, live theater and flashlight egg hunt

Learn all about Will County’s largest predator, the coyote, during March’s episode of “The Buzz,” the Forest Preserve District of Will County’s monthly nature show.

1) Dellwood Park Community Center in Lockport will host an Egg-Luminate Night Hunt from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Friday. Features include a family entertainer, pizza, drinks and an outdoor egg hunt. Bring your flashlights and baskets. Ages 1 to 10. In case of inclement weather, the egg hunt will be inside. Registration is required. Cost is $15 for residents, $20 for nonresidents. 2) The Great Moments in Vinyl band will host a Tribute to U2 and its “The Joshua Tree” album at 7 p.m. Friday at the Joliet Area Historical Museum’s indoor auditorium, 204 N. Ottawa St. in Joliet. Other features include full beverage bar, snack vendor and access to the museum’s galleries. Doors open 6:15 p.m. Tickets are $10 for museum members and students and $14 for the public. 3) Coyotes and white-tailed deer are featured in the March episode of “The Buzz,” the Forest Preserve District of Will County’s monthly nature show, at 9 p.m. Friday and noon Saturday on WJYS. 4) Enjoy “Quasi una Fantasia”: Works for Piano by Beethoven, Medtner, and others by Jiafeng Yan, pianist, at 7:15 p.m. Saturday at the University of St. Francis’ Sexton Auditorium in Joliet. Tickets cost $5 for children, alumni, non-USF students and seniors and $10 for adults. Tickets are free for USF students and staff with ID. 5) Come to see “Return to the Forbidden Planet,” written by Bob Carlton, this weekend and next weekend at Lewis University’s Philip Lynch Theatre in Romeoville. Performances are 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2:30 p.m. Sunday. In addition, a matinee performance is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. April 9. This jukebox musical was inspired by Shakespeare’s “The Tempest.” Ticket are $15 for adults and $14 for students and seniors, $3 for Lewis University students with an ID. The play is recommended for patrons 13 years and older.
