Joliet police officers conducted a search warrant operation on Thursday morning on North Raynor Avenue.

At 9 a.m., Joliet police officials announced the operation in the 1000 block of North Raynor Avenue and the request for residents to shelter-in-place.

Few details have been released about the operation but police plan to reveal more on Thursday.

Nearby schools were placed on a secure-and-teach protocol out of an abundance of caution, police said.
