An Algonquin man accused of killing his mother and stepfather in November will receive a mental health evaluation to determine his mental fitness at the time of the murders.
A 36-year-old Algonquin man charged with killing his mother and stepfather in November and hiding their bodies pleaded not guilty to all charges Thursday, according to McHenry County court records.
A presidential visit, a double homicide in Algonquin and an ‘American Idol’ semi-finalist all made headlines in McHenry County this past year.
The 36-year-old Algonquin man would need to post more than $500,000 in order to be released.
Maxim Parnov now is accused of causing blunt force trauma to both Elvira and Peter Almen, resulting in their deaths.
