The city of Rock Falls is auctioning its 1979 lemon-in-color-only Pierce fire engine.

Anyone can bid on it, it’s listed on the Municibid website, https://municibid.com/Browse?Seller=RockFallsFD.

The current and sole bid is a mere $2,500, which does not meet the city’s reserve. Info on mileage and such is lacking; the site recommends interested potential buyers contact the seller.

Bidding ends at midnight Friday, and there’s a 9% buyer’s fee.
