A 41-year-old Chana man was arrested Wednesday and charged with four counts of distributing child pornography, the State Police said in a news release this morning.

Morgan A. Rains faces 6 to 30 years in prison on each charge. He is free on a $10,000 recognizance bond, and has a court hearing Jan. 27.

The investigation began in November and also involves the state Attorney General’s Internet Crimes Against Children Unit and the Ogle County Sheriff’s Office, the release said.

The investigation continues; no additional information is being released at this time, it said.
