Rock Falls VFW donates $12,500 to Sterling park’s veterans memorial

At the May 18 Sterling City Council meeting, Jim Wise, Sterling alderman at large, put on his hat as a member of the Rock Falls VFW Post 5418 to present Sterling Mayor Diana Merdian with a check for $12,500 for a veterans memorial at the Northwestern Steel and Wire Park.
