Letter: Help our animal shelters

I am deeply appalled at the possible closing of the Assisi Animal Foundation in Crystal Lake. What is wrong with this society? First the McHenry Animal Control, now this? This is unacceptable and these animals deserve the best. McHenry County and Crystal Lake need to step up and help these facilities. Young people and whoever would like to volunteer, please reach out and help our animal shelters.
