Crystal Lake parks vandalized over weekend

Bike repair station removed at Woodscreek Park, park district says

The bike repair station at Woodscreek Park was completely removed from the bike path this past weekend, among other acts of vandalism across several Crystal Lake parks, the Crystal Lake Park District said.

“Sadly this bike repair station was just installed in the spring at Woodscreek Park, thanks to a $1,600 donation by the Heartland REALTOR Organization (HRO),” the park district said in a notice on its website.”

Over the weekend, port-a-potties and picnic tables at several parks were tipped over and spray painted as well, the district said. One picture posted by the park district shows a port-a-potty on its side with “Tip Me” written on it.
