Crystal Lake preschool raises money for those impacted by Hurricane Ida

Purple Moose Enrichment Preschool in Crystal Lake held a coin drive to help families affected by Hurricane Ida.

“This idea started as all preschool ideas do ... from the heart,” organizers said. “While the teachers were together, [they talked] about how to help families that were currently in the path of Hurricane Ida. It’s definitely hard to watch destruction and seeing others needing basic supplies. This is where the idea of how can we help started.”

Each classroom had a jar and in about 3 weeks, $252.44 was raised. The school is matching 100% of the total, which will go to the Red Cross.
