Northwest Herald Athlete of the Week: Harvard’s Logan Jacobs

Jacobs rolled personal bests in Hornets’ first boys bowling dual in school history

Harvard’s Logan Jacobs jumped at the opportunity to join the school’s boys bowling team after he found out the Hornets were competing in the sport for the first time.

Jacobs, a team captain, had a standout debut performance, rolling personal bests with a match-high 489 series and match-high 198 game in Harvard’s first boys bowling dual in school history at J’s Lanes in Harvard. Jacobs and the Hornets have stayed busy this season, competing in four duals and an invite in Rockford over the weekend.

The Hornets standout bowler was voted Northwest Herald Athlete of the Week by readers and recently talked to sports writer Alex Kantecki about competing on the first bowling team at Harvard, what he likes to do in his free time, his John Deere collection and more.
